  • Those staying off campus are to use the Visitors’ Car Park or Hafan Car Park. Parking is not permitted in any other area of the campus except in the pay-and display car parks where you will need to pay the required fee.

    Parking permits can be found at the welcome desk.

  • If a fire alarm is raised during meetings, stewards or fellowship group leaders will guide you to the nearest fire safety point.

  • Morning and evening meetings will be relayed in the overflow (in the Round Studio) for parents who want space for their children to roam. The 2D room will be used to relay the main meetings Monday to Friday for those unable to sit with the large group in the Great Hall.

  • Filming, photography and recording is not permitted in any venue. Your attendance at the conference implies permission to reproduce your image, likeness and voice on publicity material.

  • AMENITIES
    Each accommodation unit has individual lockable bedrooms with shared kitchen and dining facilities. In addition to the bed, all rooms have a minimum of a sink, desk, chair, and wardrobe. Bedding and towels are provided. Razor sockets are not installed in all rooms. Kitchens are equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, and include fridge and freezer, microwave and conventional hob and oven. You will need to bring your own food, tea towels and washing up liquid. You may also need additional bin bags.     BINS & WASTE
    Please can you make sure you empty the bins in your flat before you leave and put bagged rubbish/recycling in the relevant outside bin store near to your accommodation.
    CAR PARKING
    Those staying in campus accommodation can park in a bay near your unit of accommodation. If this is full or there is no space outside your accommodation use Hafan Car Park. You will need to display a conference parking permit at all times (available when you pick up your keys).
    FIRE
    Ensure you know where the nearest fire exit is in your accommodation and meeting venue. Should a fire occur call 999 and inform the university reception. No naked flames are permitted in accommodation blocks. Full information on evacuation procedures is available in your unit of accommodation.
    LAUNDRY
    Each type of accommodation has its own launderette which opens daily, 8:00am-8:00pm. Launderette cards, costing £10 and £20 can be purchased from the machines in every launderette. Please bring your own washing powder.
    NOISE
    Please keep noise levels to a minimum after 11:00pm – make the most of Aber23 by ensuring everyone can get the rest they need.
    SPORTS CENTRE
    You may use the Sports Centre on campus for a discounted price with a Sports Pass, which you can ask for when you collect your key. Facilities include swimming pool, gym, squash courts, sports hall and an all-weather pitch.   • We have been notified by the University that we need to vacate our rooms by 9.00am on Saturday 19 August (we may be able to allow some occupants to stay later in special circumstances – please contact the welcome desk to ask). At the end of your stay please strip your bed, and leave your unit of accommodation clean and tidy. Hand in your room key at:

    • Please return all keys to the quick check-out box located outside of Fferm Penglais Reception (Y Sgubor) - this will be labelled clearly.
    • Friday 9:00am – 5pm and Saturday 8:00am - 10:00am - Y Sgubor Reception
    • All other times, Campus Main Reception

  • All meeting venues have wheelchair access. For help during the week, ask a steward. If you wish to check on any university access issues before the conference call the Accessibility Advisers on 01970 621761.

  • Breakfast, Lunch and Evening Meals can be purchased at the Food Hall and coffee shop at various times during your stay at the conference (please note the food hall will not be open on Saturday, and only at lunch time on Sunday). In the Arts Centre there is also a café.

  • You will be issued with a wristband to wear during the conference. Please help our stewards and make sure these are visible when you arrive at a meeting. Please note meeting passes are only valid for the allocated meeting (and not any other conference activity).

    If you lose or damage a pass, please come and see us at the weclome desk.

  • The Great Hall opens 30 minutes before the meetings begin. On request, stewards are able to reserve a limited number of seats for those with serious health problems. Food and drink, with the exception of bottled water, are not permitted in the Great Hall.

  • All conference attendees have free WiFi access via The Cloud.

  • The University have informed us that they are now a cashless site – therefore remember your credit and debit cards!
