Welcome to Aber 24!

It is my great joy to welcome you to Aber 2024. It is my privilege to chair the organising committee of the conference and we trust you will find within the guide plenty to do and get involved in, even if you find you can’t go to everything! In addition to the main sessions in the Great Hall, there are meetings for families, young people and those who come alone, as well as prayer meetings, fellowship groups and workshops.

If this is your first time at Aber, why not come along to the Welcome Meeting in Y Sgubor at 6.30pm on Saturday? Members of the organising committee and leaders of all the groups will be on hand to answer your questions and help you find your way around the conference and the university. Aber Lounge on Monday and Wednesday is also a great place to get know people, whether it’s your first time at the conference or not.

The highlight of each day is the preaching of God’s Word and I am pleased to welcome as our main speaker David Meredith who from Tuesday to Friday will be speaking to us on the theme of Reviving Revivals. Families with children of all ages are welcome to the Sunday morning family service, taken by Trystan Hallam. We also have a Sunday evening service taken by Gerard Hemmings.

James Allan (Conference chair)

In our evening meetings, Paul Williams, Mostyn Roberts, Stephen Clark and Dyfan Williams will be preaching the Word. You will find details of all our speakers in this guide.

Please join us in praying for the week. Morning prayer meetings led by Graham John, Nathan Munday and David Hails take place at 8am and 9am from Tuesday to Friday. Pray that God would be glorified and Christ exalted at this year’s conference and that his people might be refreshed, encouraged and built up in the truth of his Word.

Have a great week!
