When the darkness comes – thinking pastorally about depression

Workshop with Phil Swann

Psalm 88 speaks of a time when ‘darkness is my closest friend’. Contrary to some thinking Christians are not immune to depression. Though debilitating and often confusing to a Christian there is help, hope and comfort available. In this workshop we will explore what depression is, the unique challenges it presents a Christian with and at some of the help, hope and comfort available, so that we may be better equipped to support ourselves and one another.
