Contrasts

Our theme for extra time late this year is Contrasts. The Bible is full of ideas and statements which seem to be saying two opposite things! This can be confusing but we hope that as we spend time looking at them together in a bit more detail, we will see that Jesus was right when he said: “With God all things are possible.” We’ll also spend time singing and praying together as well as getting to know each other better too!

Tuesday: Weakness/ Strength

Our culture often tells us that we need to be strong and independent to succeed. But what if because of what Jesus has done, our weaknesses are actually our greatest strengths? We will look at some examples of those who were hopeless by worldly standards, but who were used mightily by God. Embracing our own weaknesses and vulnerabilities can actually lead to deeper dependence on God and greater spiritual growth.
